Connected assets & operations

IoT Application

Turn device and sensor readings into useful operational dashboards, alerts and follow-up workflows across your sites and assets.

IoT Application
Built around your needs

Connect physical operations to everyday decisions

Start with a defined operational problem, then connect the right devices, gateways and business workflows. Keep readings meaningful with asset context, thresholds, ownership and a practical response process.

Visible conditions

Bring asset readings and device status into a shared operational view.

Timely attention

Highlight out-of-range readings for the responsible team.

Traceable action

Link alerts to investigation, maintenance and resolution records.

Capabilities

Tools for the complete workflow

Device & asset registry

Organise devices by site, asset and owner, with identifiers and installation context.

Gateway & protocol integration

Assess MQTT, HTTP or industrial gateway connections against the interfaces your equipment supports.

Telemetry dashboards

Visualise readings, historical trends and last-received times for the measurements that matter.

Threshold alerts

Define acceptable ranges, notification recipients and escalation paths for abnormal conditions.

Maintenance workflows

Turn selected events into follow-up tasks or maintenance requests with an accountable owner.

Device access & governance

Plan device credentials, network separation, data retention and authorised access from the outset.

Use cases

Designed for real operational needs

01

Factories & equipment teams

Monitor operating conditions and connect abnormal readings to maintenance review.

02

Cold chain & storage

Track temperature or humidity against agreed ranges and keep a history for operational investigation.

03

Facilities & utilities

Bring energy, water or environmental readings together by site, floor or asset group.

Plan your rollout

Agree the details before you begin

We confirm requirements, dependencies and acceptance criteria with your team. The proposal sets out the included capabilities, integrations and responsibilities.

  • Check existing sensors, protocols, gateways and network coverage.
  • Define sampling intervals, retention needs and dashboard audiences.
  • Assign alert ownership, escalation and out-of-hours responsibilities.
  • Validate device accuracy and connectivity before scaling the rollout.

How it works

A practical path from setup to daily use

1

Define the use case

Choose assets, measurements and the operational decisions they support.

2

Connect & validate

Test device communication, timestamps and reading quality in a pilot.

3

Visualise & alert

Configure dashboards, thresholds and notification workflows.

4

Act & optimise

Review alerts, maintenance actions and device health as the deployment grows.

Connected workflows

IoT monitoring, asset data and condition-based maintenance

Connected asset monitoring turns device readings into operational context. Useful IoT applications show timestamps, connectivity and alert ownership, not only a live-looking chart.

Asset monitoring with trustworthy readings

Define sensor identity, calibration, units and device ownership. Show missing or stale readings explicitly and test buffering where the equipment supports it.

Condition alerts and maintenance requests

Agree thresholds, acknowledgement and escalation before connecting an alert to a work order. Monitoring supports maintenance decisions but does not replace certified safety control.

AI analytics needs validated condition data

Predictive models need suitable history, failure examples and measured error rates. A threshold warning is not predictive maintenance, and an AI label does not establish accuracy.

Beyond the essentials

A connected sensor is only the beginning of a useful response.

Extend monitoring with data-quality checks, alert discipline and a clear operating model for device maintenance.

Extended features

Go deeper into the way you work

Explore these extensions during discovery. Availability, configuration, integrations and service commitments are confirmed in your agreed scope.

Reading quality and context

Discuss units, calibration history, acceptable ranges and how missing or implausible values are marked in reports.

Alert noise control

Explore persistence windows, acknowledgement rules and escalation ownership so teams can distinguish a brief fluctuation from an actionable event.

Device lifecycle planning

Document installation, credential renewal, battery or connectivity checks and the process for replacing a failed sensor.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Can existing sensors and equipment be used?

Often, but compatibility depends on the available protocols, gateway options and access permissions. Share equipment models and sample data for an assessment.

Do you supply the hardware?

Hardware sourcing, installation and connectivity can be discussed during scoping. The proposal identifies which devices and services are included and who maintains them.

What happens if a device loses connectivity?

The design should expose stale readings and disconnected devices. Buffering and replay depend on the device or gateway and must be tested in the pilot.

Can an alert create a maintenance task?

Yes, where a task or maintenance integration is included. We agree trigger rules, ownership and acknowledgement steps before enabling it.

Is this suitable for safety-critical control?

This offering is for operational monitoring and workflow support. Safety-critical control requires separately engineered and certified systems; dashboard alerts must not replace those controls.

How do we avoid too many sensor alerts?

Agree acceptable ranges, duration thresholds and ownership using real operating conditions. Review false positives during the pilot before widening the rollout.

Who is responsible for sensor accuracy?

Assign calibration and maintenance ownership in the project scope. Software can surface suspect readings, but the measurement still depends on suitable hardware and installation.

How should historical readings be retained?

Balance operational investigations, storage cost and any applicable obligations. Confirm raw-data retention, aggregation and export requirements before deployment.
